Because my smart phone was stolen,
I unfortunately don't have any pictures of this climb.
I would be very happy,
if you took photos during this ride
and then send them to me.
It is important that the road is visible in the pictures.
Cyclists may also appear on the photos, but rather in the background.
I will mention your contribution in this text.
The climb to Eita runs through a valley, the Val Grosina,
that has hardly been discovered by tourism.
The well-paved road (as of 2023) is quiet
and you will probably meet few other cyclists here.
The ride begins in Grosio.
After some 7 kilometers of cycling, in Fuino,
the valley splits in two,
one branch running ahead and one branch running to the left.
Although both branches rise from this point,
they have the same name, Val Grosina. Remarkable!
The climb described here runs straight ahead
and ends in the hamlet of Eita with its free-standing church tower,
where you can discuss the heroic deeds you have just accomplished.
These are, however, not exceptional.
There are some quite steep sections along the way
but most are not long.
The steepest kilometer (10.5%) is found just before the end of the ascent.
