This is a magnificent climb on a quiet street that ends at the Col des Annes. It is primarily the view of the magnificent Chaîne des Aravis, which makes this climb one of the most beautiful in the Alps. However, it is possible that the pleasure to see this impressive mountain range is reduced by fatigue or even exhaustion because the trip is definitely not a piece of cake. The first six kilometers are still harmless (slope up to 6%) but after keeping left at a fork, the road quickly becomes steeper. A strong effort is required during the next three kilometers with in the middle a section of one and a half kilometers with a slope of 12%. Then the road flattens a little and the goal of the ascent comes into sight. It becomes clear that the last few kilometers will form another tough challenge. The final one and a half kilometers have a gradient of 11.7%, on average. There is a terrace at the pass. Be careful when descending. When I was cycling here there was a lot of gravel on the steep road.
