The Col d'Ey is located in the Mont Ventoux area and the climb to this col is therefore an obvious choice as preparation for the hard work to be done on this famous mountain. However, the Col d'Ey does not offer really difficult climbing. Mostly, the asphalt tilts 6% and with 186 climb effort points (cep) this ascent is hardly more difficult than the Redoute in the Belgian Ardennes, whose 179 cep determine the lower limit for cyclingup.eu. In summer heat is often an aggravating factor and accordingly the vegetation is typically Mediterranean. The street is very calm.
