This ascent begins in Welschdorf on the street connecting Schiltach with Schramberg (the B462). Take a side street eastward and follow for a while the signs Rohrbachstüble. We will soon turn left and climb up through the forest. The road becomes brutally steep here with a strip of 250 meters of 14%. After one and a half kilometers a beautiful, open landscape with a few scattered farms is reached. Here the asphalt initially slopes only slightly (2-3%) but after a kilometer it gets steeper. We keep left near the Rohrbachstüble and see a section in front of us that looks abnormally steep. This turns out to be correct. We have to overcome a strip of 250 meters of 18% and a steepest kilometer of 14.2%. Then turn left at the end of the forest, a kilometer further. Do that again when reaching a wide street. The ride is completed with another 500 meters on this wide road.
