This site presents two climbs from Rickenbach to Buggenegg. The ascent of this page, from the southwest, is harder (551 climb effort points), or cep, than the other option (463 cep). This is due to the merciless steep passage with a length of about two kilometers that begins a few hundred meters after the start. The steepest kilometer in this passage does not slope less than 13.9%. This ramp ends at the picturesque, baroque church of Bildstein. The remaining six kilometers are varied. The slope fluctuates between fairly steep until Farnach (a kilometer of 10.6%) and a couple of descents, in which a total of 46 meters of altitude are lost. The surroundings of the road consist of fields, forests, farms and small settlements. After eight kilometers keep right at a T-junction to reach the pass about 300 meters further on.
