The Puerto de Cerredo marks the border between two autonomous regions. To the west of the pass lies Asturias and to the east Castilla y León. The climb from the east, from Villager de Laciana, is pretty easy. Over a distance of 9.1 kilometers only 386 meters of altitude await the cyclist. The second half of the ride beginning in Caboalles de Arriba is significantly steeper (average 5.8%) than the first half (2.4%). The final 500 meters are the steepest of the climb (8%).
