I cycled this climb to the Passo di Foscagno from the Bormio side on a beautiful sunny Sunday in summer. Maybe I shouldn't have done that. I have never before, during my numerous climbs, seen as many cars and motorcycles. However, it turned out that this doesn't bother many cyclists because they too were in large numbers on the way to the pass. Maybe the profile of the ascent, which is nowhere really steep and with hardly any variation in the gradient, seduced them to go. Of the 30 five hundred meter segments 16 have a slope of 7%, 7 have a slope of 6% and 2 a slope of 8%, which is the maximum. On this website the ride does not start in Bormio but in Isolaccia because over the 9 kilometers between Bormio and Isolaccia only 174 meters in altitude are overcome and only 63 climb effort points are collected. Between Isolaccia and the pass there are views of the snow and the glaciers on the Cima de Piazzi (3439 m).
