In both directions the Passo di Campolungo is the easiest climb of the Sellaronda. However, the northern ascent described here is somewhat harder than its counterpart from the south (230 versus 207 climb effort points), mainly because it includes 79 elevation meters more. After starting on a straight stretch through Corvara, the steepest section of the climb follows. It consists of a rapid succession of a large number of S-bends, is two kilometers long and has a slope of 7-8%. A horizontal part follows, after which the remaining three kilometers to the pass are relatively easy (4-7%).
