For those who love cars, motorcycles and exhaust gases, the ascent from Cencenighe Agordino to the Passo di San Pellegrino is highly recommended. The mentioned vehicles and volatile substances are around in large quantities. However, this ride also has something special to offer for the mountain specialists among cyclists, namely the first 2.5 kilometers after the junction to the Passo di Vallés. These are particularly steep (11.1%, on average) with a steepest kilometer of 12.4%. In addition, in this section the slope varies considerably, so short sections are even steeper. Ten hairpin bends, often close together, make this part of the ride pretty exciting. Before coming to this steep passage, 13 kilometers have been completed from the start in Cencenighe. These also contain a fairly steep section, which begins 5 kilometers after the start, shortly after the junction to Canale d'Agordo. Here the slope measures 9% during one and a half kilometers. Finally, a tunnel, just over a kilometer long and encountered shortly after the start, should be mentioned. It is not really pleasant due to the dense traffic. I heard a rumor that it is possible to cycle past outside.
