The climb to the Passo Cereda from Fiera di Primiero in the Val Cismon is short (8 kilometers) but intense. The first two kilometers are not that bad (2-7%) but after crossing the river the party begins. The next 5.5 kilometers have an average gradient of 9.5%. The steepest part of it (11-12%) is right at the beginning. These steep kilometers first lead through the forest and towards the end in several wide bends across a wide meadow with a number of barns. Several hundred meters before the pass the road finally becomes less steep. Here and there in the forest and certainly in the more open landscape near the pass beautiful, rugged rock faces of the Dolomites are visible.
