The climb from Santa Lucia to Forte di Oga is not really hard. A total of 545 meters in altitude must be overcome, the steepest kilometer has a gradient of 9.5% and the steepest 250 meter segment a slope of 12%. The steeper sections seem to be randomly distributed along the route. This climb is suitable for warming up for all those huge challenges nearby - Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo. At the destination, the parking lot of the Forte di Oga, we sat on the terrace of the Hotel Al Forte, a wonderful place with a beautiful lawn surrounded by trees and in the background a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains, with the glaciers of Punta San Matteo as eye-catchers. In the last part of the ascent, after Oga, the road surface was pretty bad (as of 2023).
