This climb is a really nice one for road cyclists. The street is quiet, the pavement in good condition, nature offers forests, a stream (the Nederbach) and, in the last five kilometers, high mountains. The steepness of the road changes almost constantly. The first 8.5 kilometer till shortly before Ochsengarten are the hardest. In this section 700 elevation meters are gained. Thus, the average slope is approximately 8% but as steeper sections are interrupted several times by (almost) horizontal passages, the slope of the steeper sections varies around 10%, with a maximum of 12% immediately after Mühlau. During three kilometers in and after Ochsengarten cycling is without much effort on the gently sloping road (2-6%). The punishment follows after crossing the creek with the steepest kilometer of the trip (more than 12%). Then, in the last five kilometers, hard and easy sections quickly alternate and the high surrounding mountains become visible. The finish lies in front of the church standing on the right side of the road, in the in summer almost deserted ski resort of Kühtai.
