The climb from the north to the Cumbre de los Altos,
located in the Serrania de Cuenca,
is, I assume, fairly unknown.
We encountered this obstacle during our "Vuelta" in 2022.
The ascent takes place on a narrow road with fairly good asphalt,
where we encountered almost no cars and no cyclists at all.
In the first half the road is moderately steep (4-6%) and runs
continuously through the forest.
Immediately after the start there are some beautiful rock formations.
After about seven kilometers the road becomes even less steep
and sometimes runs almost horizontally.
The landscape here is quite beautiful with fields,
in which I saw some horses.
Several times I thought that we had reached the highest point
but it always turned out that the road continued to run upwards,
until, of course, we finally reached the top.
There is no sign or anything like that at the culmination point.
