The climb from Moena to the Passo di San Pellegrino certainly doesn't get a price for the most beautiful landscape. I found the first kilometer from Moena up to the SS48 the most beautiful part, due to the view of Moena and the Dolomite massifs beyond (especially the so-called Rosengarten). After that first kilometer, the mountains are less impressive. Unfortunately the traffic of ruthless drivers who do hold enough distance is unpleasant. The profile of the ascent is not really exciting. The first half (7.3% on average) is a bit steeper than in the second half (5.6% on average). The beginning of the steepest kilometer (9.9%) is reached after more than 4 kilometers cycling and is marked by the warning sign "gradient of 14%".
