I really enjoyed this climb from Molina di Fiemme to the Passo Mánghen. It was a relief after the busy traffic on the passes further north, the Passo di San Pellegrino and the Passo di Vallés. Here it was nice and calm on a, especially during the last 8 kilometers, fantastic street. There the road is narrow and exciting thanks to a series of hairpin bends, the road surface perfect (in 2019) and the slope almost constant. After three 500 meter intervals of 8%, the 14 remaining 500 meter intervals all have a slope of 9-11%. So wonderful for mountain specialists. The mountains all around make an abandoned impression; the road does not cross a single hamlet throughout the ascent. In contrast to those last eight kilometers the first eight kilometers are less spectacular and relatively easy (3-9%). When I did this climb in 2019, the forest was remarkable. Trees were lying down on a large scale as if giants had cut them down for a game of mikado. This was the result of a heavy storm in October 2018.
