A pleasant aspect of this ascent to the Passo Brocon is the low traffic density. However, I found the climb pretty boring. The road runs almost continuously through the forest so the surrounding mountains are only rarely visible. Also, elevation is mainly gained in two long sections with little variation in slope. The ride begins on the SP40, the road that connects Ponte Serra with Castello Tesino, at the turnoff to Arina. After a steep beginning with a 250 meter segment of 12%, two easy kilometers follow (maximum 2%). Then the first of the two long, moderately steep passages begins (mostly 6-8%), in which 450 elevation meters are gained. Immediately after that, 50 of these elevation meters are lost in a short descent. A little more than a kilometer further on, keep to the right at a T-junction. From here on this climb is identical to the climb to the Brocon starting in Grigno . The second of the two long, moderately steep passages also begins here. This one is a little longer than 10 kilometers, mostly slopes 7% and thus yields 730 elevation meters. This part ends at the culmination point of the trip (Soggiorno Saronese, 1630 m). The pass (1615 m) is reached four kilometers further, on a road that alternately slopes slightly up and down.
