The ascent from Les Moulins, a settlement along the N94, to the Fontaine de l'Ours is steep (average 8.7%), sometimes very steep. The first three kilometers run almost straight ahead with a moderately steep slope (mostly 8%) through the forest. It is a boring section in which the sun, not hindered by the low trees, can be a merciless opponent. After crossing the stream (Boscodon) the road becomes more varied and steeper. After a kilometer one passes the Abbaye de Boscodon, a monastery. After that, the road becomes and remains very narrow until the end and has a surface of very poor quality. In wide bends elevation is gained through the forest. Now and then biking gets strenuous. For example there are two very steep 250 meter sections. The first lies one kilometer after the monastery (13%) and the second about a kilometer before the finish (14%). The road ends at a parking lot in the middle of the forest.
